It is our hope that this conference will bolster efforts to challenge the impact of incarceration, reentry and criminalization

In June, the Criminal Justice Reform Conference 2020 will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions and interactive workshops. These sessions are designed to facilitate learning about relevant issues, legislative changes and their impact, skill sharing, organizational work and the development of tools for both advocacy and community organizing to actively engage in justice work as it pertains to criminalization and incarceration. The workshops will explore the nuances and complicated dynamics in connection to mass incarceration and our current criminal justice system. Additionally, they will provide tools and best practices for advocacy and community organizing while connecting conference participants to opportunities for continued engagement beyond the conference. We are particularly committed to highlighting the voices and organizations led by individuals directly impacted by incarceration and the criminal legal system. The Criminal Justice Reform Conference 2020: The Voices of Credible Messengers will seek proposals that facilitate education about the issues, skill sharing, and the development of tools for advocacy and organizing around the broad range of topics related to mass incarceration and the criminal justice system.
